Is it possible that a nation can be made new?

Can a nation be reborn, and once again be true?

Can the ways of death become the ways of life?

And a sweet safety replace the ways of strife?

I believe it’s possible if we’ll only turn

To the One who gives us life and for our goodness yearns.

He has made His way clear, all His paths are peace.

Let us again walk in His ways and from our sins cease.

There is light and there is joy for those who trust in God;

But for the wicked there is shame and a correcting rod.

Don’t be tricked, be not deceived, God cannot be mocked.

What you’ve sown, you will reap; the door will open on which you’ve knocked.

Everything done in secret shall be shown for all to see;

Forsake your evil ways and cling to truth that sets you free.

Those who have been found wanting, will be exposed to all;

Open your eyes, see and read the writing on the wall.

The one thing that I know for sure, the thing I surely know

Is that with God all things are possible, down here on earth below.

If we’ll turn from evil ways and seek our Father’s face,

He will open Heaven wide and save us by His grace.
